Flurina Badel & Jérémie Sarbch

Flurina Badel (* 1983 in Samedan) trained as a documentary filmmaker and worked as a freelance documentary filmmaker and journalist for RTR and SRF. Jérémie Sarbach (* 1991 in Binn) completed a training as a wood sculptor at the school of wood sculpture in Brienz. In 2015, Jérémy Sarbach graduated from the FHNW in Basel and the Cooper Union NYC at the Academy of Design and Art (HGK) of the FHNW; In the same year, Flurina Badel graduated from the School of Design and Art (HGK) at the FHNW in Basel. Since 2014, Flurina Badel and Jérémie Sarbach have been working together as a couple. Their work with different media is centered around two central themes: "Landscape - Mountains - Origin" and "Technology - Communication - the interface between analogue and digital worlds". Their joint works have been and are shown both in exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. They received a six-month studio grant from Atelier Mondial in Montreal in 2016 and in the spring of 2017 they will be scholarship holders in the art center Nairs near Scuol.
